Mr. Kaufman is an active member of the Intellectual Property Bar, having served on both the Copyright Committee and the Entertainment Law Committee of the New York Bar Association, the Copyright Society, and the Copyright Committee, Freedom to Read and Lawyers committees of the Association of American Publishers. He serves as Counsel to the American Book Producers Association, the trade organization of book packagers. He sits on the Advisory Boards of The Beacon Press and Hudson Hills Press, LLC. He is a contributor to "Booknews," published by the American Book Producers Association, "Novelist, Inc." "Poets and Writers", "Publishers Marketing Association" magazines. Mr. Kaufman is a graduate of American University (BA), and The Washington College of Law at American University (JD), and New York University (LL.M).
